I bought the dc28 in may 2011 and I had it for 6 months before it broke. Dyson had it repaired and I got it back a month later. I used it for about a week and it broke yet again. Had it repaired again got it back and it broke a 3rd time. i requested a NEW vacuum they said they would send me a new one. I got the new one had it for about 2 weeks and the brushes stopped spinning. They had me send it back in and I told them I wanted another new one. I got it and it broke a week later. I ham now on my 3rd vacuum and i used it 1 time and it is making a terrible noise. I DO NOT RECOMMEND THIS VACUUM AT ALL!!! I am now going to request a different model. this is ridiculous!! My sister has the dc17 and she has never had any problems with it at all.

I've owned the DC28 vacuum for less than a month and the manual height adjustment has stopped working. I loved it while it was working but a [$] vacuum cleaner should not break down after less than one month of regular use. Thankfully, the store I purchased the vacuum from has a 90 day satisfaction guarantee. I will be returning and buying another brand.
