Comment:
Our companion dog passed before we bought this vacuum. She shed a lot! (Lab mix). With this Bissell pet vacuum, I would consider getting another dog, no matter how much it sheds. This vacuum is fantastic! I LOVE the little lamp that lights the way for me, shining on clumps of hair or dirt. It's easy to detach for cleaning the stairs. The cord is long enough to extend to the top step and then some. The canister is big enough to hold the dirt. I am fine with emptying it after each task. I miss my dog, but at least I have my Bissell. (we read reviews on vacuums that hold their suction, really glad we decided on this one).

Comment:
I bought this vacuum because it looked like a good one that would do well with pet hair. It sucks up great. BUT I use the hose and attachments often. I vacuum my house atleast 2 to 3 times a day. This hose is the worst design i have ever seen. If you do not use your hose and attchments then this would be a great buy. I am returning it back to the store this weekend.
