Never ever buy a front loader. The bearing and drums appear to be a big issue. It sounds so loud like a jet engone taking off we have to close the laundry room and den doors to watch TV and do wash.

Flimsy construction and spin cycle doesn't sufficiently extract water. I just purchased this machine to replace our 6 year old Bosch 300 which was broken by the movers. I loved the Bosch but they are no longer making washing machines. I was able to get this machine for the repair/replace budget the movers gave me. I've had it for less than a week, but due to visiting relatives for the holidays, I have already used it more in 5 days than the average household would in a month. It cleans well, but my chief complaint is that the spin cycle doesn't extract enough water, even on the extra fast speed which I always use. This means I have to dry longer, an average of 20 minutes per load. This adds up to an hour or more a day that I'm waiting. I believe they sacrificed spin effectiveness for quiteness. Also, the detergent dispenser and door are very flimsy plastic. The detergent dispenser feels as though it will break off in your hand as it's pulled out. This is a problem across the board with all brands, though. If there is a washer that cleans as well or better and spins more water out, I'd go with it, otherwise, just know you'll be waiting longer for your loads to dry.

It's pretty, but looks are deceiving. The electronics were always iffy, but really started acting up shortly after the one year warranty was up, and now it takes babying the thing for 15 minutes to get it to drain. It always stops at the drain cycle and flashes an error code F21 (Drain Problem). No Kidding? So then you try unplugging and replugging a dozen times, combined with trying different wash cycles. Once you hear the drain pump kick in, you better wash everything in the house that day while it's working. It's a piece of junk. I also don't like the fact that you can't see the water during the wash cycle. What you have is a bunch of soggy wet clothes rolling over each other in order to conserve water. Yeah right. Just like waterless unrinals....worthless. I'm not convinced that going green is the way to go. The next washer will be a top loader where I can see water, and if it don't put much in, I'll add more with a garden hose if I have to. Oh, one more thing....whoever thought an electronic door lock was a good idea....think again. You can't get your clothes out when the washer is on the blink.
