Comment:
We bought this when our son outgrew his infant carrier. My wife liked the Click 'n' Safe feature in the store, but hates it in the real world. I am 6', 2 220# and can pull so hard on the strap the car itself rises, yet the chest straps are still floppy against my son's chest.
I agree with the other reviews that the seat is too cumbersome to transfer from car to car and that it is too bulky for anything smaller than a mid-size SUV.
That being said, we've made it work for two years in our mid-size 4-door sedans, it's survived my yanking on the strap and my son's abuse with no quality issues. I bought a 2nd Boulevard (not the CS) for my car and like it better, but the bulky comments still apply.
If a safe, sturdy, durable USA made car seat is important to you, this is your car seat. If you have a small car, skip it.

Comment:
We have the Canadian version - it goes up to 65 pounds. We bought this for occasional use so I remove it and re-install it frequently. It takes up lot of space and the seat in front is confined by it. Installation requires looking over the various straps and fasteners and understanding their function, making sure nothing is mis-fed. This also includes checking the harness straps and using the provided tether for rear-facing usage. Here's what I do to install it: loosen the two click-on holders, attach to the car and pull tight (making sure the seat is fully tilted). Then loosen the tether strap, attach it to the D-strap that i've wrapped around the base post of the front seat and then pull tight. It all takes a total of five minutes. I test that there is no movement. Then the child goes in, making sure first that the straps are not caught on anything. There is a store that will install it for $45 (and inspect for free). I recommend you learn to do it yourself because it may have to come out if you need the back seat for another use and it is not worth going for help every time.

Comment:
I believe this seat is safe, I do not know how much safer it might be than other seats. But is is VERY difficult to install and adjust. Even though I have installed it many times (we actually own 2 of these seats) it is big trouble every time. Yesterday it took me 40 minutes to install it and I never could get the shoulder straps adjusted. These problems are engineering issues that should have been caught and fixed prior to releasing the seat for sale.

The seat is bulky. If you have room for it in your car there are no issues. I have a Subaru Outback (2008) and the seats limit the adjustment of the front passenger seat. OK for short trips, but for long trips the driver and front passenger are forced into an uncomfortable position.
I would only recommend this seat for people with larger cars who will not be removing and reinstalling or adjusting the seat. I plan to replace these seats with something easier to install and adjust.
