Good summer carseat
12/9/2012
Pros
Comfortable
Easy to use
Cons
cheap material
Tight In Winter
Best Uses
Comment:
This carseat was bought for its ease of use rating. It was working well until my daughter turned 3 and was wearing winter clothing. The straps were extended to their maximum and it was too tight. It was supposed to fit children up to 65 lbs but my 35 lbs daughter was no longer fitting in it! I wrote the company about my concern and they never replied.<br />I also had to sew the seat cushion because the seam came apart.

Comment:
My son is roughly 42 and 45 lbs. and we're moving on after using this seat in my truck (he rides in my wife's car more often, in a Britax Marathon). We were hoping to leave him in the seat until he reached closer to the height and weight limits due to the added safety over a booster. All's fine except for the crotch strap, which even adjusted as far forward as possible is too close to the back of the seat. He wails every time I try to get him in the seat, and I can't blame the poor kid. Otherwise I've found it to be a great seat, but this is a big drawback.

Comment:
We've owned this carseat since 2009. The material has ripped twice now. I've sewn it once and I'm not sewing it again so am re-researching carseats. This carseat is difficult to install. Make sure you take to a carseat check station - their is a trick to getting it to install faster. I HATED this seat until I realized you could pull the strap through the bottom of the chair and then it would tighten. Also, the clip between their legs hands over the buckle and pinches them. My daugher sits with her legs way out to the sites. Will never buy a FirstYears again. Paying more money next time for a Britax.
