About - Bugaboo Frog

The Frog is part of the stroller test program at Consumer Reports. In our lab tests, traditional stroller models like the Frog are rated on multiple criteria, such as those listed below.

Ease of use:
Ease of use is based primarily on ease of safety harness use, folding and unfolding, adjusting backrest, lifting and carrying, engaging wheel brakes and car seat removal and installation (only for compatible strollers).

Maneuverability:
Maneuverability was assessed by trained staffers on how well the strollers maneuvered S-turns through cones, narrow sections, grass, dirt trails, uphill, downhill and curbs while walking.

Safety:
Safety for each stroller was assessed by our testing, applying the ASTM F833-09--a voluntary industry standard--and stability and usage tests designed by Consumers Union.

Great for the city
By Thomas from TO from Toronto, On on 12/31/2009
Pros:
Comfortable, Durable, Easily Stowed, Easy to Set Up, Easy To Steer, Sturdy
Cons:
Bulky
Best Uses:
Infants, Newborn
Describe Yourself:
First Time Parent
How long have you owned it:
More than six months
Bottom Line:
Yes, I would recommend this to a friend

Very good stroller. Much better than the top rated Graco.

The suspension and wheels/tires are very good on the city side walk. The inflatable tires absorb the regular jarring you would feel on a cement sidewalk. Also very maneuverable in tight spots. You can hear the Graco clanging on the sidewalk, it has a much rougher ride.

We bought the Peg car seat with the adapters, and use that when we go to the mall. Again, much smaller and lighter than the Graco. Also very easy to put in the trunk.

Great colors to choose from.

The seat is comfortable. Our baby was big so we did not get to use the bassinet that much. Little disappointing, in that it looked so good.

Best Stroller on the Market

I have had this stroller for almost 3 1/2 years. I got it for my first daughter. I noticed that while I had a really easy time getting it in and out of my car, other moms with other strollers did not. Now that I have two daughters, my three year old loves riding on the "skateboard" while my two month old rides in the carseat that snaps onto the stroller. It is by far the best most enduring stroller on the market.

Flexible and compact

Pros:
Compact, Flexible
Cons:
Assembly, Price
Best Uses:
Travelling

Love this stroller - best baby accessory I could have invested in.

Pros: Flexible - we can use it in the city, malls and on the beach (where it converts to a two-wheel pull stroller). Very compact - easily breaks down to the chassis and very easy to re-assemble.

Cons: No cup holder for Mom or baby. A bit trickly to assemble each time because you have to remove seat and then fold the chassis. Not fun on a rainy day. Expensive.

Overall, a great buy if you can afford it. Too bad it doesn't come as a double stroller.
