I purchased the Garmin Nuvi 205W based on Consumer Report rating. I even purchased a one time map upgrade and later a lifetime map ugrade. The device work great for about 1 year and a half. I tried several repair procedures from Garmin helpdesk and internet users but none are working. I have to set it aside and purchase a new GPS from different vendor.

The product is great because <br />I can stick it in my pocket however when I tried to turn it on today it was dead! I've only had the unit for a year and never dropped it nor exposed it to poor weather so to me this is a piece of garbage!

I RECEIVED THIS AS A CHRISTMAS GIFT FROM A FAMILY MEMBER. IT IS EASY TO SET UP WORKS GREAT. IF YOU GET OFF ROUTE IT LETS YOU KNOW IT VERBALLY AND WITH LOUD ENOUGH BEEPS EVEN FOR A HARD TO HEAR PERSON.<br />I AM WELL PLEASED WITH THIS MODEL.
