Comment:
Connected to new LED TV and it worked very well (by our average Joe standards) for a few months. Then I attached our ethernet cable in order to give the netflix, etc a whirl. the vuduHD couldn't get through a two min preview without buffer delays (I will acknowledge that this could be my home network problem). The main problem was that with the network cable connected, I attempted a firmware upgrade to v1.33 and it has not worked since. I even tried to updgrade the firmware via CD-R using the panasonic website instructions and it still doesn't work. At this point, it doesn't even read regular DVDs that worked without issue for months.

The one time I didn't buy the service plan and now I wish I had.

Comment:
This unit has the good image quality expected of a blu-ray player and seems to operate as expected. However, at the end of many video segments, (about 30%), this player causes the TV to either lose audio output or crash entirely. Normal operation can be recovered only by cycling the TV power. There is no such problem with any other signal source, DVR, DVD, Wii, etc. The TV is a Visio XVT553SV
