Quit Reading DVDs

Comment:
I purchased this DVD player based on CR's recommendation. While we had it, we had the problem of DVDs floating inside and not staying in place. Unfortunately, like so many others, mine quit reading DVDs just one month after the end of the warranty. Repair was going to cost more than a new player. We were very disappointed.

Comment:
Player only lasted just beyond warrenty. Then it would no longer load discs. Sony wants more than a new one to repair/replace. This is the second unit for us to have this type of failure. If you buy it, make sure you buy an extended warranty because it definately will not last.

Total Disappointment...

Comment:
Worst DVD player I've ever owned and I've owned many. The biggest problem is that the DVDs don't stay in the tray. They will float all over the place. I've even had to remove them from underneath the tray by taking the cover off. DVDs are slow to load and the player freezes frequently under heavy use. I do not recommend this player.
