Comment:
I purchased this DVD player as a low cost replacement that could upconvert until I was ready to upgrade to a BluRay. The player worked well for ten months being used every few days. The setup was extremely simple as was the use. Ten months after purchase (and manufacture, based on the date on the back), the unit's color inexplicably went bad. After trying the single recommendation on the website and a number of my own fixes, I decided to call customer service. The rep was very polite when informing me that this product only had a 90 day warranty on it. She then gave me the number for a third party television service company that could look at it for me. I must admit to being extremely disappointed. I was very happy with the player while it worked and for the cost (Less than some video games!), it may have still been worth it, but I have to question a product that a company will only cover for 90 days.

Comment:
1) [Use] General use. 2) [Pros] Design is Simple, yet elegant. Controls are easy to understand. Remote is very nice and has ample functions/features. 3) [Cons] Stopped working after only a few weeks! DVD's started freezing up and kept doing so with EACH and EVERY Disc that was played! Player had to be unplugged, then plugged back in each time. Then the problem would REPEAT!! Don't bother with this one! It's only ranked at 7th place out 10 Machines here at Consumer Reports! I'm getting a refund on mine and getting the LG (Ranked 3rd on list.) Thank you, Consumer Reports!!
