Comment:
I bought this player to access Netflix, YouTube, Facebook, surf the web on my TV, watch my downloads, play my music files and watch DVD's. I liked the feature which included a web browser that could go anywhere not just designated sites like other players.

However the only thing this player can do with any sort of reliability is play DVD's. The web browser is painfully slow and freezes up every other time I try to use it, the connection from the player to my computer breaks often and is not reliable (setting up the connection from my player to my computer was difficult in the first place), the software/hardware upgrades the machine goes through have left my player unable to stream any Netflix content. In agreement with other comments, Samsung Tech support is not helpful - they don't know their product very well. Buy something else.

Comment:
I purchased the Samsung Smart 3D Wi-Fi Blu-ray Disc Player as part of a home theater system. I also bou8ght the Bose Lifestyle 135 system and the 40 Samsung 3D Smart TV. You would think that the 3D player would work seamlessly with the TV since they are both manufactured by Samsung. Not so!! When playing a 3D movie the picture kept flashing in and out of 3D. I called Samsung tech support and they were all but helpful. first, they asked for a call back number. We got disconnected and they never called back. I called back and asked why they wanted a call back number and the next technician said they could not call back because they had too many other calls coming in. Quantity or quality??? They were definitely not trying to give quality support. Then I told them abou8t my issues with the 3D and they told me that I needed to buy more cables. I purchased this whole system with the intention of wiring everything up using HDMI cables. Everything worked great except the 3D. they said I needed to run an optical cable for the audio and never told me what kind of cable I needed to run for the video.

I also tried upgraded the firmware via wireless. That bombed too. it reached approximately 40% and then failed. I had to go online and download the firmware upgrade to a USB thumbdrive and upgrade with the thumbdrive. That worked but did not fix my issue.

When I continued to try to fault diagnose the player issue, the technician gave up and told me it was a tv problem and he would have to transfer me to a tv technician. Funny....the tv technician sent me to the player technician. What a goatrope. Samsung has a fantastic looking picture on their TV but their tech support STINKS!!! I am returning the player today and going for another manufacturer to see if it solves the problem.

I would not buy this player. Buy another model or even another manufacturer. Samsung was USELESS in trying to resolve the problem.
