Comment:
I have had trouble with 2 units, both at the L joint where the headphone plugs into an aux port. The first time it bent (visibaly so), probably from rough treatment in a travel bag. Panasonic sent me a new one under warrenty. The replacement is also broken, although it still sounds good if wrapped or held in the exact right position(which is fine for a long flight, unusable anywhere else). For the price I'm still happy I bought them as I wanted them mainly for air travel. Sound quality is much better than ipod headphones(my only frame of reference)

Sound great and have lasted well over 4 years of heavy use. Best headphones I have ever heard.

I don't recommend anyone buy these. I blindly bought it without checking the reviews and I'm cursing myself.

This is a bad product that's just out of date. Dont' know why this product was recommended. I'll list several problems

1. bulky wand at a very inconvenient place
2. needs battery
3. doesn't fit in the ears very well and the weight of the wand will pull it out of your ears
4. they don't have a pause button
5. they don't have a built in microphone so you would have to carry 2 sets with you if you use them with a phone. Most people these days listen to music on their phone.
6. the wires are flimsy and I don't feel confident that they will last
7. the packaging was awful and it takes a long time to open them if you don't want to damage this flimsy product

I have 2 pair of these and use them before I use my $300 Bose. They're comfortable, sound quality is good, and very portable. Great listening to my MP player while mowing the lawn. Haven't noticed any squeal in either pair, but maybe I just can't hear that frequency due to too many concerts in my life.

Strength
Reduces ambient noise.
Weakness
Generates a high frequency, very loud and deafening, squeal.
I would never recommend this product to anyone. After some use I began hearing an intermittent deafening squeal. After paying another $15 I got a second pair of refurbished headphones from the factory only to hear the squeal again after a few uses. I called the company and they told me there was nothing else they could do about it. When reading a highly rated review in Consumer Reports, I thought I'd give them another try but, alas, the high frequency squeal came back.
