Comment:
I used my QC15's recently on a flight to Aruba. The jet noise and chattiness of a passenger next to my wife were all drowned out by the noise cancelling feature. They were very comfortable and gave great sound reproduction with both the airplanes system and my Ipod.

Comment:
I love the headphones for completely canceling the noisy dog next door! I put them on when they let it out and my peace returns. While somewhat pricy, the quality is there to off-set that little sting.

Comment:
Although the Bose 15 is decent at canceling out constant-level sounds, it's poor at getting rid of nearby conversations and other noises where the sound level varies. It's fine on an overseas flight when most people are sleeping, but as soon as voices are heard, they are actually amplified. This may be good for when you are working and need to hear voices as people approach, but if you really want to cancel out all noise, this simply doesn't do the trick.

Bottom Line
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.
