I love being able to answer a phone call, stop and play music and fast forward all with the click of a button on the cord. These do it all but with a life span of only a few months it's just frustrating having to replace them all the time. Cheap but not worth the hassle.

Comment:
I thought they would be reliable w/ Apple name tag. Less than one month after purchase, the remote switch quit working. I understood the packaging to say that they had a 12 month warranty; when I returned them to an Apple store, they said they have a 2-wk warranty. Talked w/ manager and he replaced them. I was thankful for the return policy, but it should have been automatic - no questions asked since I had the sales slip. Possibly the replacement earbuds will be trouble-free, but the 1st one was a disappointment. In my opinion, these earbuds are rather unreliable for [$]. I will opt for another 3rd party higher-rated model in another month when the current earphones may possibly self-destruct.

Comment:
Inevitably you will lose one of the silicon ear buds. They supply other sizes, sure, but one day you'll lose one of the ones that fit you. Then you're done. Apple doesn't sell replacements. The Geniuses at the Apple store tell you you should buy another set of headphones (~$90).
