I owned the HJE350 earbuds and thought I would upgrade to these. Even though the reviews I read were not that favorable, for $6 less (yes $6 less than the 350's) I took a chance. I was pleasantly surprised, they weren't drastically better just more refined in every frequency range. The bass went lower, louder and was more defined. The midrange had a true accurate sound that didn't have that cheap plastic sound like many budget earbuds do. The treble was very clear without being over bright (when every word sung with an s in it seams like it's peircing you brain). Overall they have a nice balanced sound that doesn't get tiresome to listen to when wearing them for a couple of hours.
