Bose makes the best speakers, hands down. They are pricey, but worth it. I run a sony amp (5.1) with bose 301's bose center channel, and bose surrounds (can't remember model) and Yamaha subwoofer for home theater (bose makes acoustimas sub, but I wanted a wall shaker). Because Bose's are voice matched, the surround is amazing. I had yamahas all around to begin with. Saved my lunch money and bought bose. NO regrets.

I am on my second pair of Bose 301's. I sold my first pair when I got out of college. Bought second pair for home stereo about 5 years ago. Very satisfied. Now I am using them for speakers at football game tailgating. Don't look any further.

I am a recording engineer and I have listened to many studio speakers which are, by far way better than most commercial speakers. The Bose 301 are the best commercial speakers I have ever heard. The true to life sound is amazing. I am running a Yamaha system with 5.1 surround in a 12 X 21 room. Big enough for these speakers to get me rocking and the floor thumping. If I'm watching a concert, its like being in the first row. <br />Zero static and distortion. Bose lives up to its name. Great starter speakers for the music enthusiast.
