A surprising number of the LCD and plasma TVs we test have so-so sound quality, and a handful are downright disappointing.
You might be satisfied with middling audio for run-of-the-mill programs that are mostly dialogue but it's nice to have fuller,
richer audio when you're watching a movie. If an otherwise great TV comes up short in the sound department, there are easy
fixes, including inexpensive home-theater systems and sound bars.
