A digital photo frame could be a good idea for anyone who's tired of seeing the same old lineup of photos on the mantel. That's because you can make the pictures inside the frame change automatically.

Brands

Audiovox

A manufacturer of audio products and DVD players, among other things, Audiovox entered the digital picture frame market in 2007. Products include 7-, 8-, and 10-inch frames.

Ceiva

Ceiva offers two 8-inch frames. If you want to share photos, you'll need to pay for the company's photo-sharing plan.

Digital Foci

The company has two frames in its line, 5.7- and 8-inch models. Other products include card readers and photo-storage devices.

eStarling

eStarling offered its first digital frame in 2006. It currently offers 7- and 8-inch frames.

GE

GE's offering is a cordless phone with a built-in digital frame, but it's a discontinued model that may still be available in limited quantities.

Giant

Giant offers two 7-inch frames under its InTouch brand.

GiiNii

The Slope series is part of GiiNii's value line of frames and includes 8- and 10-inch models. The PixPlus line offers models with Wi-Fi. Among the models in the Home Décor line is a collage frame that includes two digital and one print frame.

HP

HP launched its first digital frame in 2007 and currently offers 7-, 8-, and 10-inch frames.

Insignia

Insignia is Best Buy's digital-frame brand. It's currently offering 7- and 8-inch frames.

Ipevo

Ipevo makes Wi-Fi phones for Skype, among other Internet-oriented products. It offers a 7-inch Wi-Fi frame.

Jobo

Lines from this brand include Curve, Plano, Nano, and Mirage L.

Kodak

Kodak's series of picture frames include OLED wireless, Cordless, Décor, Wireless, Multimedia, and photo-only. The frames range in size from 5.6 to 10 inches.

Mustek

A manufacturer of portable DVD players, scanners, and Bluetooth devices, Mustek's PF line of digital frames includes 3.5-, 7-, and 8.5-inch models.

Pandigital

The company offers 3.5- to 15-inch digital frames. Its PanTouch technology uses a touchscreen for viewing and managing photos.

Parrot

This manufacturer of wireless multimedia and Bluetooth products offers digital frames.

Philips

The monitor and LCD TV maker has a line of 8- and 10-inch digital picture frames.

Samsung

The display manufacturer's frame offerings range in size from 7 to 10 inches.

Smartparts

The company ceased operations in 2009.

Sony

Among Sony's photo-related products are its Cyber-shot digital cameras. The company introduced its first digital picture frames in 2008, and has 7-, 8-, 9-, and 10-inch models, including the Vaio brand.
