I purchased the Uniden DXI 8560-2 online. At first I was happy with it, but then problems developed with the auxiliary handset: it stopped taking a charge. I swapped the battery from the problem phone to the working phone and am testing to see if it's the battery and not the charging base. The bottom line is that I will not be buying another Uniden product again, because I shouldn't be experiencing a problem like this having owned the product for less than 2 months. Next time, I will go with a local merchant that I can return the product to should it fail.
The range is limited to about 20 feet before you get lots of static. The maximum volume setting for the speaker phone and headset is mid-range. I bought it to use with an external headset but it doesn't come with a belt clip. Duh!
We've had this phone for a couple of years. The #9 button quit working and a couple other buttons worked if you pressed real hard. Then the connection from the phone to the charger somehow was lost. Not sure how or why but when you set the cordless on it's charger, it wouldn't connect...therefore charge.
