Great phone for the price. Speaker phone is excellent and range is spectacular for such a cheap phone. I have added 5 phones and there are no issues to date. Four things that would have made this phone perfect: belt clip, backlighting on all the keys, LED voicemail indicator on the phone (rather than an icon on the display that can't be read from a distance) rather than just the base and a headphone jack. Overall, this is a great value for the price.
I've had many different brands of phone's and the V-Tech is the best ph by far!!

I have all kinds of cordless phones in my house in the past 10 years, and nothing seemed to work. Thought I would try these mainly because of Consumer Reports, and I figured that if they didn't work I didn't have a lot of money tied up in usless phones. These are the best phones I have ever had. Not sure if it is the mfg or just the frequency they use, but I have had great luck with them. I really like the speaker phone on the handset. I make con-calls when I work from home and it works flawlessly. I just stand it on my desk make my call, and if necessary just hit the mute button and listen quietly.
Programming can be a little tricky, but since it is just a keypad and a few extra buttons it is not any more difficult then most basic cell phones to operate.
