I have the one with the extra phone and charger and I'm well pleased.

This unit replaced a "can't go 20 ft from base" Uniden.
Have had now for 2 weeks...so far so great.
I can go a few hundred feet from base with the base located in center of house.
Easy to setup.
Would recommend it.

This is my first non-Panasonic phone in 20 years. I purchased it because the Panasonic competitor looked and felt cheesy. This phone felt solid and is solid. Has good features, the only one missing in my opinion is not being able to screen incoming calls. If you have caller ID it will tell you who's calling, but unless you're at the base unit, you can't listen in to the caller leaving a message.
Phone book and options are pretty easy to program. Handset to handset communication very helpful in a large home. Outside range is great.
HOWEVER...within 2 weeks one handset began to cut out. In another week a second handset began to cut out. The problem was intermittant. The caller would be clearly audible one minute, and almost totally inaudible the next. Location of handset vs base was immaterial. The volume control is not the problem. Caller hears you perfectly but you can barely make out a voice on the line. The unit goes back today.
