My previous electric razor was also a Remington, and I wanted to try one of those new cleaning system from Remington. Unfortunately, it does not shave well long hair like my previous shaver. It may be due to the middle head that on my previous shaver had slits, while this one has hole like the other two heads. The switch doesn't have a lock position and it doesn't come with a traveling pouch. You could end with a discharged shaver at your destination. The cleaning system was unnecessarily bulky, and noisy for the whole cleaning cycle of about 4 hours. I ended up splurging on a Brain Series 5 550cc , and I am much more happy with it. Even my wife was impressed by the closeness of the shaving. If you cannot afford one of the recommended Braun Series 7, I highly recommend the Braun Series 5. Except for the very high speed shaving head, the Series 5 seems to have all the advantages of the Series 7.
