About - Anolon Advanced

The Anolon Advanced is part of the kitchen cookware test program at Consumer Reports. In our lab tests, cookware models like the Advanced are rated on multiple criteria, such as those listed below.

Set (pieces):
Each set includes at least a saucepan, a frying pan, and a stockpot. Lids are typically counted as separate components in a set.

Cooking evenness:
Cooking evenness reflects the ability of frying pans to turn out evenly browned pancakes on a gas range.

Nonstick durability:
To assess nonstick durability, we intentionally abraded frying-pan surfaces with steel wool until the coating was worn through or up to 2,000 strokes. Scoring for finishes that were still intact at 2,000 strokes reflects reduced nonstick performance.
About This Brand

Anolon and Circulon brands are manufactured by Meyer Corporation and both feature nonstick products. The Circulon products are nonstick on the inside and outside of the products.

Both brands are upper mid-priced, and offer approximately four lines. Products are available at department stores, specialty stores, Target, Bed, Bath & Beyond, William Sonoma, Crate & Barrel, Costco, and BJ's Wholesale Club.

Comment:
I bought the Advanced Anolon Bronze Collection for my wife because she was impressed with the color. Like I posted I rarely cook or like she would say I don't cook at all. But my wife loves to cook and cooks at least 5-6 days a night I'm sure there is no difference from the ordinary Anolon Advanced. Anyways she loved it! I was considering the Earth Pan but because of the bad reviews I jumped on the Anolon Collection. I'm looking forward to getting her the Bronze Collection Bakeware Set this Christmas. Thanks CR's and members for making buying so much easier and safer. :)

Comment:
I bought these pans almost 3 years ago and they have been such an improvement over my old Reverware stainless. I find that the cleanup is so easy that it doesn't even bother me that I can't put them in the dishwasher; in fact, I enjoy handling them when I clean them! The only downside is that as I get older, I may find them a little heavy to use, but it may be that this would be true of any good quality cookware. Overall, I am well pleased. They are not the most expensive for sure, but they do cost more than bargain pans. However, they are worth it in my opinion.

Have several sizes and all are great products. Have had for a few years and they still look/cook like new. You can't go wrong with these. Expensive but well worth it.
