About - Cuisinart Chef's Classic Non-Stick 66-7

The Cuisinart Chef's Classic Non-Stick 66-7 is part of the kitchen cookware test program at Consumer Reports. In our lab tests, cookware models like the Chef's Classic Non-Stick 66-7 are rated on multiple criteria, such as those listed below.

Set (pieces):
Each set includes at least a saucepan, a frying pan, and a stockpot. Lids are typically counted as separate components in a set.

Cooking evenness:
Cooking evenness reflects the ability of frying pans to turn out evenly browned pancakes on a gas range.

Nonstick durability:
To assess nonstick durability, we intentionally abraded frying-pan surfaces with steel wool until the coating was worn through or up to 2,000 strokes. Scoring for finishes that were still intact at 2,000 strokes reflects reduced nonstick performance.
About This Brand

Cuisinart is a midpriced brand that offers products in uncoated stainless steel, and nonstick hard anodized and stainless steel. Cuisinart recently introduced its Green Gourmet Cookware line, which uses ceramic rather than petroleum-based (claimed PTFE- and PFOA-free) surfaces.

These are sold in Bloomingdale's, Bed, Bath & Beyond, Macy's, specialty stores and numerous online retailers.

After 2-3 months, non-stick coating stained and began to break-down. Cuisinart provided no satisfaction to my Warranty request, as i am a CA resident and they are supposed to bear the cost of shipping in my state. Deaf ears-They say, We changed the warranty.

Comment:
We have had one of these pans for about two years. Food sticks to the pan in normal use and when you try to clean it the non-stick coating flakes off. Now the pan is unsafe and will be thrown away.

No, I would not recommend this to a friend.
