I bought this filter last year, and it has never worked right from day one. I can hear it dripping water all the time, and I believe it should only do so after you have dispensed water. I also makes a howling noise after I have used water in another part of the house, like the shower or washing machine. I called them and they came and worked on it, but never corrected the problem. When I told one of the techs what it was doing, he told me that it was impossible. I gave up and just put up with the howling and extra dripping, until recently when the dripping turned into a steady stream, and I had to shut off the supply to it. I am just going to scrap it and get another brand.

Cons

Comment:
Used since 1993 (1 upgrade) and continue to use now. Unit works great with poor municipal water quality; hard water results in RO filter replacements/3 years over 5 year replacement with softened water. Recommend unit with soft water and installation of water softener with high hardness. Installation of sediment filter would also aid in treatment costs

We bought the Culligan reverse osmosis system for under our sink 7 years ago when we bought our house. It cost about [$] (they also have an option to lease). Every 2 years it cost us [$] just to change the filters. We remodeled the kitchen not too long ago so we uninstalled the system and when we called Culligan to reinstall, they wanted an extra [$]JUST to sanitize it and reinstall. That did not include the [$] to change the filters. So the system did not go back into our kitchen. The only reason I gave it 3 stars is because the water tasted great. But other than that, Culligan is a big rip-off in my opinion.
