Comment:
I grill A LOT, both in frequency and amount of food per grilling session, so the large cooking area was gonna be great. The side sear burner is a nice feature, especially since it opens by the top sliding out sideways instead of being a top opening lid. And the LED lights were cool.
---But the grill only goes to 420-450 degrees for goodness sake! Called Brinkmann and customer service informed me that that is the maximum temperature it is designed to reach. Said the older version of this model was hotter, but would pop the porcelain finish off of the cooking grates and people complained. So instead of making better grates, they turned down the temperature on the whole darn grill! USELESS
No new regulator or amount of adjustment to the burners would have gotten the flames to the proper 1 to 2 inch height on high, it's designed to stay low.
Would've liked to make it work cause it was a neat grill but couldn't be bothered. If all you're ever going to grill are things at low temps, then it might be alright I suppose.
Returned it and bought a CharBroil instead. (I may buy the LED lights from Brinkmann and put em on my new CharBroil though, hehe.)

I wish I could get my money back and spend it on a different brand. Read no further if that's enough for you, if not read on....

I bought this grill and set it up September of 2013. By April 2014 with normal use and regular maintenance, the grill's crossover channels have all started falling off (these allow for the flame to travel from burner to burner after lighting using the automatic igniter). These crossover channels are only lightly tack welded or adhered to their support brackets. As these metal channels are located in close proximity to the burners they expand and contract as all metal will when heated and cooled. Naturally the pieces eventually separate as they have now done in my case and in other customers as evidenced by searches on the internet. This is a manufacturing defect that Brinkmann is apparently well aware of. These pieces should have been mechanically fastened to prevent the issue. After much effort with customer service (whom are unreachable directly by phone, they will only call you back about 4 -5 hours later). They sent an email advising that the parts are on back-order and are expected 3 months from now (must be on a slow boat from other parts of the world) at which point they will then ship the parts out. The instructions I received from their Customer service on how to use the grill until then are below. It seems they have created a stock email for this, on multiple models of their grills due to all the issues they have had.

If you want to take your grill apart and light every burner by hand each time you use it, then buy this grill! otherwise seek better quality and decent customer service elsewhere...

I have placed the order for your replacement crossover channels. The order number is ...... These channels are easily replaced by simply unscrewing the broken pieces (arms) from the ends of your burners and screwing in the new ones when they arrive. We apologize for the delay in shipment, but these parts are currently on back-order. We appreciate your patience with us concerning this matter, and we will ship the parts out to you as soon as possible.
This part relays the flame from burner to burner, so that the operator can light each burner off of the initial ignition burner, without having to light each burner manually with a match or lighter. There is no gas that flows through these parts- they are only a convenience part, the unit and all burners on the unit can be safely used in the absence of these parts. The unit operator will simply have to light each burner manually, with a match or lighter. You can safely use your unit, and all of the burners on it, while you wait for your order to arrive.
The procedure to follow when lighting your burners manually is completely safe. The procedure for lighting your unit by hand is as follows:
1) Make sure the control knobs to the burners on your unit are turned OFF.
2) Remove your cooking grates and heat shields so that you can access your burners, directly.
3) Turn your fuel source (tank) ON.
4) Strike your match or lighter.
5) Hold the lit match or lighter down into grill, beside the beginning jets (closest to the front) of the burner.
6) Carefully turn knob corresponding to the burner you wish to light ON, gas should catch the match and ignite.
7) Repeat this procedure for the rest of the burners.
