Works well, rots and rusts even better

Pros:
Easy To Use, Great Design, Short Grill Time
Cons:
Uneven Cooking
Best Uses:
For Self/Couple, Small Gatherings
Describe Yourself:

Bottom Line:
No, I would not recommend this to a friend

I have no complaints about the usefulness of the grill, it works well. The problem with the stainless grills is that the drip pan and other critical items are made of cheap pressed steel which RUSTS away to nothing in quick order.
I bought this grill because it was highly recommended by CR, I wish CR would do some sort of corrosion test, so those of us in the REAL WORLD won't have the unpleasant surprise of having the bottom literally fall out of our appliances.
Next time, I will look closely at ALL the components of any grill, any cheap stamped steel and iffy hardware and I'll pass, no matter what CR says.

My Home Depot grill uses natural gas and that part I enjoy. As to the quality of the grill, that is another story. Yes it gets hot, (I do like the rotisserie burner) but the quality of the parts in the hot section is VERY POOR! Made in China, quality is NOT important! I would not buy another Charmglow!

[@] I believe sets the standard and Charmglow built the BBQ to the lower standard. While the outside is shiny, the parts on the inside are falling apart. The thin stainless steel separators have corroded and are falling apart. Charmglow used to be built in the US, but I was told they are now built in China. Quality is not important to either [@] or Charmglow anymore! Consumers needs to use the products for an extended time before writing a report that tells someone it is new and shiny! How does it work after a year of use?
