High temp evenness:
Evenness of heating over the grill's surface at the high setting, using thermocouples.

About This Brand
This brand, known for its durability and dependability, went through an entire line and design change in 2007. Weber is known for its quality products in the midpriced to high-priced categories, and grills that feature coated cast-iron and stainless-steel-rod cooking grates and long-warranty stainless-steel burners. (The company offers a natural-gas version for most of its grills.) Weber recently introduced an infrared-searing station on some of its grills, updated its Q line of portable grills, and added colors to its entire lineup. Weber grills are available at many retailers nationwide. Grills range in price from $130 to $3,000. Note that Weber acquired Ducane about four years ago.
Features & Specs - Weber Q 200
Stainless-steel grates Primary cooking grates made of stainless-steel are generally sturdier than those made of coated steel and resist rust even without a porcelain coating.
Stainless-steel grates
No
Coated-cast-iron grates The grill's primary cooking grates may be made of porcelain coated cast-iron, which generally sears meats better and keeps grilling temperatures more consistent than grates made of porcelain coated steel. The porcelain coating usually makes such grates easier to clean than other surfaces, and the grates should resist rust as long as their porcelain coating isn't chipped.
Coated-cast-iron grates
Yes
All or mostly stainless Includes more than just a panel or other trim. Based on our limited tests, nonmagnetic stainless is less likely to corrode.
All or mostly stainless
No
Long-warranty burners While burners remain the grill's most-replaced part, most are warranted for only 3 to 5 years. Better burners are covered for 10 years or more.
Long-warranty burners
No
Side burner A side burner, which resembles a gas-stove burner and has its own heat control, is handy if you want to cook vegetables or sauce without leaving the grill.
Side burner
No
Infrared burner Gas burner that uses infrared technology (ceramic burner, plates and screens, or troughs as some examples) for cooking. An indirect flame is used for cooking food. Burner can be located as the main burner, side burner, rotisserie burner, or any combination of burners.
I use the grill 1-2 days a week. It is convenient for tailgating and camping as well as the largest grill I could find that would fit in a baggage compartment on my motor home. I liked it so much I bought one for home. The regulator on the first one failed after 2 years. The regulator on the second one (different design) failed after 6 months. They both look like cheap junk and apparently the new design is even worse than the original. Please, Weber, spend more than $.79 on a regulator or find another Chinese vendor. You should package new units with a spare regulator or 2.

I have owned this grill for approximately 7 years now. It was purchased b/c I lived in a small apartment at the time with a small balcony that didn't allow grills to be stored outside, so I would only keep it outside when I grilled. Several moves later and in a new house, I still have the same grill and it still works great. It's great for everyday use, and portable use.

I've hosted 18+ people with this one grill and it did great grilling the food. There is so much surface area on the grill for such a small unit.

One minor gripe: Marinated meats in large quantities. The unit still grills marinated meats well, however, it does not do a very good job siphoning the juices from the marinade/fat. As a result, it's easy for grease-fires to start inside the actual unit and in the grease pan if not properly cleaned after grilling marinated meats. If you grill marinated meats in large quantities, I would suggest changing out the grease pan AND cleaning out the bottom of the grill after you are finished...otherwise you'll likely get grease fires in your next use.

Comment:
I bought this grill back in September of 2011. Its made of well constructed materials, has a superior cast iron grilling surface, and is a piece of junk otherwise. Come on Weber, how can you put your name on this?? The regulator sometimes works and most times doesn't, which means the gas sometimes flows and most times wont. I've tried using both the portable bottles and a full size tank w an adapter hose to no avail. Then the ignition doesn't work. I replaced it and it worked again for a time or two at most. I have chicken to grill tonight an after paying [$] for a small grill, I have no place to do it. After messing around w the propane for a while and w the ignition for half an hour I gave up. If I had the box I'd ship it back just to tell them where I think they can shove this worthless junk grill. Weber is a wonderful brand, I've owned their larger grills in the past but this is unworthy of a [@]brand let alone Weber. If you can't make a decent small grill just stop trying. Anyway buyer beware.

Strength
Cooks great, lots of room, durable
Weakness
You have to remove the propane bottle support ring to use regular Coleman style bottles (instead of torch style bottles)
Most portable grills are junk. That's not the case with the Weber Q line. This grill is well built, cooks excellent (with good even temperatures) and is pretty resistant to flame up. I got sick of going through outdoor grills every few years and decided to go with the Q. Now I can just take it inside when I'm done and store it out of the elements. Great for camping too because it's so portable.
Weight, Construction, Flexibility, and arecognized brand.
Weakness
Lowes and HomeDepot do not carry anything for this grill where I live. Side work surfaces are not as sturdy as I had hoped, but should handle the weight for most tasks.
I purchased this grill based upon reviews here as well as other places. Needless to say the reviews were very accurate. This grill is of great quality, and should last quite awhile. Some of the things that impressed me most was the simplistic construction of the grill and the attention to detail in the cast iron cooking grate. The areas of the the grate that are positioned of the the burner are solid cast iron which will help prevent flare ups as well as give a greater surface area to heat the remainder of the cooking surface. This also helped to evenly distribute the heat instead of having hot spots over the burner. I have also ordered the 20 propane tank attachment which will give me even further flexibility when cooking at home. After using this grill I do not see myself needing to go back to the bulky grills. Even with a family of four there is more than enough room to cook everything at once.
Compact yet big enough for the whole family to grill. Light, even distribution of heat. Cute :)
Weakness
none so far.
Got the grill few weeks ago, and love it. It is small, so it won't burn lots of gas, can be portable ( camping etc ), and easily grills lots of hamburgers, I would say 2-3 big fish steaks, and veggies. Great for a family of 4-5.
