Comment:
Out treadmill was assembled by [@]and did not work right out of the box. Nordic track sent out a technician who recommended we get a totally new machine. Nordic Track took 3 months to get around to dealing with the issue and decided not to send a new one and instead tried to guess which parts would fix it. The technician came back to fix the machine, found the parts were completely inadequate and ended up jury-rigging the machine. It does work and seems to work well but I am very disappointed in the Nordic Track company and would not recommend anyone buy from them. They will jerk you around if you have any problems.

Comment:
Highest rated on this consumer reports looks well constructed. But the electronic panel stopped working after 2 months. Called customer support gave me one thing to try and diagnosed the problem as a bad control panel. Then said I would have to pay $24.95 to regester the product? After two months. Later calls have been unresponsive.

The C900 has one of the softest and springiest running platforms I've ever tried! If you like the platform to bounce and spring with each step, put this on your list to try in person.

The design of the plastic parts particularly at the end of the deck is prone to being stepped on and broken... even though there is a small not a step label on it. While the shape does a great job of catching any dirt or debris which comes off of the belt, kids just love to use it as a place to stand.

Once it does break through someone not reading the label or taking a mis-step, the side rail covers which it partially attaches to crack and loosen from the deck itself allowing for movement, and eventually noises such as clicking or banging with each step taken, at running impact levels, begin. Some careful trimming of the plastic parts can remedy the problems and save you a big hit to the wallet, but that's only if you are inclined to start cutting things.

In general, it seems to be a pretty good machine, with one major design flaw... if your comfortable with fixing things on your own, and get it on a discount, its probably well worth the money.
