This Ridgid drill is my personal at home drill. At work I use 3 Makita 12v impact's and drills. Ridgid: Only real issues were with the batteries. Both batteries failed within 6 months of purchase. They were easily replaced under the lifetime warranty. Unit has been working fine for 4 months since then. Drill could use a better grip handle. Overall this drill has easily completed every task I've used it on. I understand this is just a 12v unit and have pushed it a little hard time and again. It always comes through completing the task. When you stand behind your product with a lifetime warranty for everything in the box, that goes a long way in my opinion.

Comment:
This is a great little tool for size, weight, ease of use, power and function, and we really liked using it until it started to get a bit flaky. A relative low fall shook the battery housing such that it now won't start consistently with a trigger pull. This is intensely annoying.
Also, the batteries have seemed to lose their memory after relatively short people.
Lastly, the small light at the front is a great idea. But it's lame because it only comes on when the bit starts to spin. You really want the light to help you line up screws or bit before spinning.
