About - Husqvarna 6021P
This Husqvarna mower's rating consists of:

Mulching: Reflects a combination of evenness, which is how close the mowers came to even, carpet-like mowing, and how completely the mower distributed the clippings over the lawn's surface.

Bagging: Denotes a combination of evenness, which is how close the mowers came to even, carpet-like mowing, and how many clippings the bag held before it filled or the chute clogged.

Side discharging: A combination of evenness, which is how close the mowers came to even, carpet-like mowing, and how evenly clippings were dispersed from the side-discharge chute.

Handling: Includes ease of operating the drive controls (for self-propelled models), pushing and pulling, making U-turns, and maneuvering in tight spots.

Ease of use: Includes ease of starting the engine, operating the blade-stopping controls, shifting speeds (for self-propelled), and adjusting the cutting height. Bag convenience and ease of changing modes are separate judgments that contribute to the overall score.

Comment:
This mower replaces a Craftsman mower that gave me many years. More than anything, I wish this mower had a choke button. My first few months were fine, but ever since then, it is very difficult to start. Takes MANY pulls. I have already replaced spark plug, air filter, and gas. I will be [@] this mower after less than 2 years and finding something else.

Comment:
This mower replaces a 15 year old Murray mower. I bought it at [@] on sale after comparing it to Craftsman products. The mower is simple and well laid out, cleans up easy after use, and uses far less fuel than the old guzzler. My only gripe is that it is somewhat hard to push in thicker areas of the yard, even with the deck raised to leave the grass a little longer. It cuts very evenly and bags very well.

Yes, I would recommend this to a friend.

Comment:
I have the 7021p model (only difference from the 6021p is the Honda engine instead of the Kohler engine). I think the Honda engine is at the low end of Honda's product line and is the same Honda engine as my old Yard Man mower that I bought from [...] several years ago. If I had to do it over, would probably get the 6021 with the Kohler as I do not think this Honda engine is worth the additional $70+ dollars. The mower handle has a cheap rubber cover that started splitting after the 1st mow. I figure in another month the cover will split all the way and will need to be replaced by something more durable. Also, there is conflicting information in the owner's manuals regarding oil capacity Page 3 of the mower manual specifies the oil capacity is18.5 ounces. Page 7 it says the mower holds 20 ounces of oil. Page 11 of the engine manual says the oil capacity in a dry engine is 18.6 ounces and the refill amount is 12 to 13.5 ounces. And if that isn't enough conflicting information, the bottle of oil that comes with the mower is 15.5 ounces!!!
