Comment:
I have been able to cut the time to cut my 1/4 acre in half compared to the single speed Craftsman I had before. I like the mower overall but the bagger plugs up when about 1/4 full even with a dry lawn and the engine does not run nearly as smoothly as the Honda engine on the Craftsman.

Comment:
Bought from Lowe's a year ago. Has been consistently hard to start, requiring multiple pulls. Even when engine is completely warmed up. It has the cheap Briggs&Stratton engine, I wish now I had opted for a mower with the Honda engine instead.
U get what U pay for, right?
Other than that, it does a fair job of mulching, although it tends to lug down in thick grass. My 15 year old Yard Machine still does a better mulching job.

Bottom Line
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Comment:
I'm really surprised to see so many negative reviews on this model. I have had this mower for many years now, and aside from a broken front wheel a few years back, I have had no problems to speak of. The mulching works great unless your grass is wet or too long. It's also very easy to convert between bag discharge and mulching. I will buy another if this one ever dies.
