Cons
Noise level
Best Uses
Leafgrass blowing
Leaf mulching
Comment:
I have several oak trees in the back yard along a fence that create a tremendous volume of leaves. This unit has no trouble mulching mostly dry leaves for over an hour, virtually without interruption except to empty the bag. Occasionally, I'd have to dislodge a damp leaf from grass or ground cover with a nudge, but it still had the power to consume it once loose. I had no issues with clogging as all, & I found the collection bag easy to remove & dump. It also has done well blowing grass clippings, leaves & small tree branch fragments from the driveways & sidewalks. Based on my experience, I would purchase the unit again.

I have a bunch of messy river birch trees that drop leaves all summer. I blow my deck and drive weekly.

I was disappointed with the performance of this blower. I bought it to replace my 15+ year old Toro and was unable to complete the job. I finished the job with my Toro even though its plastic handle is broken. At least it moved my damp leaves. Vacuum was adequate, but jammed after a few minutes. To clear it, I had to be break down the vacuum set-up and clear it manually. (Remembered to unplug as there are no safety features to prevent you from damaging your fingers)

It has been returned to the retailer and will use some duct tape on my Toro until I find a adequate replacement.

Comment:
Blower worked well, vacuum less so, on leaves. Takes considerable effort/time to free up leaves entangled in ground cover and vacuum out. I used it to vacuum up weeds I had pulled from the garden. The motor stalled and shutdown on overload a couple of times then, apparently, burned out. It seems the motor lacks the power to mulch long stem green weeds.

Since the shredding rotor is exposed when swapping parts from blow to vac mode it is very important to unplug the power cord lest you accidentally rotate to ON the power switch which is the black knob within the gripping space of the handle. I found when operating the unit that the 3-position power switch being so close to the handle that I would accidently rotate it changing the blower speed or turning it off.

Returned to big box store for refund.
