Love It
By Pacino from La Crosse, WI on 1/22/2010
Pros:
Power easy to use
Cons:
no cons
Best Uses:
Whatever
How long have you owned it:
More than six months
Bottom Line:
Yes, I would recommend this to a friend

This is probably the best purchase we made two years ago. We have an average size suburban yard on a corner lot. I can do both curbs and one side of the sidewalk on one charge. With the second battery I get the other side of the sidewalk and trim up around all the trees, patio and under the boat trailer in the back yard and whatever else looks like it needs to be done. No problems, replacing the spool is no problem. Finally we can get our yard trimmed up on par with our retired neighbor (the yard nazi). You can trim through major growth with this thing.
Last year we also got the blower to go along with it, because they use the same batteries. Don't waist your time with the blower, it really dose run the batteries down fast, it gives you just about enough time to clear the dust off the floor of your garage, but the weed whacker is great. Its what a weed whacker should be.

Great trimmer for small jobs
By Mtn Man from Edwards, Colo on 11/5/2009
Pros:
Easy to use, No gas oil cords, Quiet
Cons:
Not for large yards, Not great at thick weeds
Best Uses:
Grass trimming, Sidewalk trimming
How long have you owned it:
Three-to-six months
Bottom Line:
Yes, I would recommend this to a friend

I use it for trimming around a 2,500 sq ft lawn. Usually gets the job done on one battery, but I charge the spare just in case. It's great to have instanat on/off as you walk around the yard. Auto string feeder works great. I don't think it weighs any more than my last trimmer. Previously had a gas powered trimmer and I sure don't miss messing with the gas, oil, and maintenance. I was so impressed with this trimmer I also purchased the B&D hedge trimmer.

If you need a trimmer to cut thick weeds you should look for a gas powered trimmer, but I'm absolutely satisfied with this trimmer and batteries.
