Comment:
I picked this up early this year due to CR's relatively high listing and very low price. Like many others, mine eats line like it was candy. I've tried a few different lines with the same result. We have a moderate size yard, and a full load of line barely makes it to the end.

There is nothing else special about the line trimmer. It isn't especially light, well-balanced, or more convenient than other trimmers. It's simply cheap.

From the other reviews, it appear that some people don't have the line eating problem. Nonetheless, many of us do. So good luck getting one that doesn't have this problem.

Comment:
I'm not sure why there are several negative comments about line usage. Mine works fine and uses line at a normal rate. I have a fairly small yard which I trim every 2 weeks. I use approximately 2 spools of line per season.

Comment:
This would be a great trimmer . . . if it didn't eat line like a Sumo Wrestler at a Ponchos. I literally spent five minutes picking up bits of one inch blue line out of the grass after I finished trimming. I'm taking it back this afternoon. Why do all of the electric trimmers suck now? 20 years ago they all worked pretty well, now it is a crusade to find a decent one.
