Just got this after upgrading from a cordless electric. Its heavier and much more powerful. There is a bit of a learning curve after upgrading from a cordless. String breaks a lot and I had to stop 4 times to fix string drum. I'm going to buy heavy duty string in hopes of it lasting longer. Don't prime 10 times as it says. Prime until you see gas in the prime bulb. It started right up.

This review pertains to the 128L, the straight shaft version of the 128CD. It is powerful and drives through heavy and long weeds with ease. Never a problem starting. String usage is good. If you trim around a lot of walls, rocks, or other hard surfaces it uses more sting, but so will any trimmer. The string is heavy and the length is longer than others I have used/owned which means you'll cut a wider swath. It balances very well. It edges better than my dedicated gas edger.
