Air can enter VSA modular pump, and enough might enter the system that brake pedal feels soft or lower to the floor. If you don't have brake maintenance done over months or years, enough air can accumulate to affect braking, increasing risk of crash.

Lysol steam-cleaning mop

Hot water mixed with Lysol can spurt out and rupture housing unit, possibly burning or cutting user.

Products: 162,000 Conair Lysol steam-cleaning mops sold nationwide and on the Internet from September 2006 through September 2009 for $40. Model numbers are SM10L and SM10LR. Conair has had 14 reports of hot water spilling out of water reservoir.

Infantino slings

Soft fabric slings could result in suffocation for infants younger than four months old.

Products: One million slings under the names Infantino SlingRider and Wendy Bellissimo slings sold at retailers nationwide and on Web sites for between $25 and $30 from January 2003 through March 2010. The government has reported three deaths that occurred in the slings in 2009.
