Thick fog

- Drive slowly, use fog lights if you have them, turn on wipers and the defroster to help keep the windshield clear, and carefully
look for other cars.
- Use low-beam headlights. High beams can decrease visibility by creating glare that reflects back at you.
- Turn on the hazard flashers.
- Turn off the radio and open the windows to listen for traffic.
- Try to follow the road's edge or center line to ensure that you don't stray from your lane.
- Don't stop in the road. If you must stop, pull off to the side.
