Simple upgrades for TV sound

Plenty of TVs on the market today have beautiful picture quality, but it's hard to find one with equally great sound—accurate and full range, with rich tones and satisfying bass that convey the drama of movie soundtracks.

The best way to achieve that type of sound is by hooking a TV up to high-quality audio components, but they can be pricey and tricky to set up. The next best option: a good home-theater system (see Home-theater systems).
