Bosch and Siemens dishwashers
Electrical component can overheat, posing risk of fire.
Products: 476,500 dishwashers sold at appliance and specialty retailers nationwide from 5/99 through 12/06 for $550 to $1,100. The
manufacturer has received 30 reports of fire that caused property damage.
What to do: Stop using the dishwasher and call the repair hotline at 800-856-9226 or go to

www.siemens-home.com for a list of model and serial numbers and for a free repair.
Refrigerators made by Maytag
An electrical failure in the relay, which turns on the compressor, can cause overheating and pose a fire hazard.
Products: 1.6 million side-by-side and top-freezer refrigerators under the Admiral, Amana, Crosley, Jenn-Air, Magic Chef, Maytag, and
Performa by Maytag brands sold at department and appliance stores and by home builders nationwide from 1/01 through 1/04 for
$350 to $1,600. The manufacturer has received 16 reports of property damage from smoke or fire.
What to do: Consumers should immediately contact Maytag to find out whether their appliance is affected, and if so, to schedule a free
in-home repair. Go to

Spa Factory Fountain and Bath Kits
Pressure from the buildup of carbon dioxide in kit jars can blow off caps. Mixture can contain citric acid, which can irritate
eyes.
Products: 516,000 Spa Factory Aromatherapy Fountain and Bath Benefits Kits sold at Sam's Club, Walmart, Target, and toy stores from
8/08 through 1/09 for $13 for the kit and $30 to $50 for the fountain. The importer (Jakks Pacific) has received 88 reports
of exploding jars, causing 13 injuries to children ages 6 to 11.
