Even after 30 washes, Tide Total Care leaves your clothes like new. TV ads with "Project Runway" star Tim Gunn have shown colorful clothes retaining their color.
The check
We washed purple and blue cotton dresses 30 times in Tide Total Care, Tide 2X Ultra for Cold Water, and All 3X Concentrated Small & Mighty, and left one of each dress unwashed for comparison.
Bottom line
Gunn knows fashion, but we know detergents. Tide 2X Ultra for Cold Water protected the color of our dresses almost as well as Total Care and cleaned better. The kicker: Tide 2X Ultra for Cold Water costs just 19 cents per load; Total Care, 45 cents.
