I found your report on hearing aids, Hear Well in a Noisy World (July 2009), to be informative and interesting. However, it lacked one essential feature: a companion piece listing foolproof methods of persuading stubborn people to get their hearing tested in the first place.

Where to Dine Well for Less (July 2009) says “food to go at least saves the cost of a tip.” I work takeout, and on behalf of all takeout employees, I’d like to correct your statement: My main income is from tips, and ordering takeout should by no means save the cost of a tip. I am 19 and am working my way through college. People around the nation read this magazine. My patrons read this magazine. I work passionately, and I greatly appreciate and depend on tips.

In Digital Cameras (July 2009) you say that 72 percent of subscribers found a viewfinder to be useful. But you included no list of which models had one. I am one of those subscribers who rates a viewfinder as an important feature. How do I find out which of the tested models have one?

In the recommendations that accompany our Ratings, we call out those models with viewfinders. Check out our latest camera report (available to subscribers).
In E-Readers (Lab Tests, July 2009), you didn’t note the many sites that provide free e-books downloadable for the Kindle 1 or 2. While sources such as those found at manybooks.net, www.gutenberg.org, and www.mobipocket.com don’t use the Kindle wireless feature, the Kindle comes with a USB connector, and I’ve gotten many free e-books via my computer.
