Humidifiers for dry winter air
All videos

Ideally, the indoor humidity level at your home should be 30 to 50 percent. In winter, however, that level can drop to 10 percent because cooler air holds less moisture to begin with.

A humidifier can help

You might want to consider buying a humidifier if you suffer from uncomfortably dry or itchy eyes, throat, or skin, or if your asthma is a problem indoors during the heating season.

Remember, you'll need to clean and disinfect your humidifier regularly, lest you end up with more problems from mold and mildew than you started with from dry air.
