My Medication Tracker
My Medication Tracker is a FREE software tool that will help you keep track of your medicines. Download the Windows or Mac
version. It'll be on your computer and completely private. Please view the privacy statement before you download the application.
Note: Once you have downloaded My Medication Tracker you will find it on your desktop. For instructions on how to download
and use My Medication Tracker, download our
User Guide. The names of prescription medicines and instructions for taking them can be confusing, especially if you are taking many medicines.
My Medication Tracker will help you keep it all straight, and follow your medicines over time, too. You can also record and store information about
your allergies, vaccinations, the medical conditions you have, and your insurance coverage information, too. And you can note
what you paid for each medicine.
My Medication Tracker allows you to print information out for your doctors and pharmacists – saving time and enhancing the
chances you’ll get to get the care you need.
My Medication Tracker is completely private and safe. The program runs only on your desktop and the files cannot be opened without a username and password.
Why use My Medication Tracker? It has the potential to enhance:
- Your safety – because you track the medications you take, their dosages, and potential drug interactions. Any doctor or pharmacist you
visit will now have an up-to-date list of all of your medications, potentially avoiding medication errors.
- Your health – because you may be more likely to remember to take, and refill your medications
- Your control over your own medication and health history – because you can now easily save all of the relevant information in one place
- Your relationship with your doctor and pharmacist – by improving communication
- Your pocket book – because you are tracking the cost of all of your medications
Who should use My Medication Tracker?
- Anyone who is concerned with safety and who wants to keep organized records of their medications
- Caregivers, (often mothers) who often direct and manage the healthcare of multiple family members (children, spouses and parents)
- Medicare beneficiaries – the elderly and people with disabilities – who need an accurate list of their medications so that
they can shop effectively for a Medicare Part D plan each year
- The chronically ill, who often need to manage multiple medications, and related expenses
- The uninsured, who may have large out-of-pocket expenses.
